Process Steps

Step1
|
The declarant shall submit a written request with required documents to Customs of Mongolia
|
|
Step2
|
The Customs reviews all documents submitted.
In case of insufficient documents submitted by the declarant, the customs office shall notify the declarant of the submission of additional materials and information within 14 days of their receipt.
The declarant shall provide additional materials and information within 30 days, and if he / she fails to do so within this period, the customs office shall refuse to make a decision to determine the product classification code in advance.

The Customs shall issue a Preliminary classification decision with the classification code of the goods specified in the request, materials, documents and information submitted by the declarant.

NOTE:
1. The declarant shall submit to the customs office the original copy of the preliminary decision of the classification each time the goods are declared to the customs
2.The preliminary classification decision shall be valid for all customs authorities in respect of the declarant, and the customs shall verify the original and a copy submitted by the declarant and return the original to the declarant.
3. The validity of a preliminary classification decision shall be one year from the date of the decision.
4. The preliminary decision of the classification shall be annulled on the following grounds and the applicant shall be notified in writing:
- if changes in the list of foreign trade goods and the national code affect the classification of goods included in the decision
- otherwise provided in the newly concluded international treaty of Mongolia
