Process Steps

Step 1

The Applicant submits a request to the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs along with all required documents

Step 2

The Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs reviews the application within 21 working days

Step 3

If the application gets approved, the applicant receives the License of Military equipment, technical export, import

Step 4

The state central administrative body in charge of defense and legal affairs shall have the right to have the applicant's documents examined and verified by the relevant authority, if necessary. In this case, the period for processing the application for a license may be extended by 30 working days

Step 5

The license may be extended once for up to one year, depending on the duration of the export and import contract and, if necessary

 

NOTE:

1. The state central administrative body in charge of defense and legal affairs shall have the right to have the applicant's documents examined and verified by the relevant authority, if necessary. In this case, the period for processing the application for a license may be extended by 30 working days.

2. Unless otherwise provided by international agreements of Mongolia, the license shall be issued in the form "D" of the standard "MNS5022: 2001" specified in Annex 2 to the "Procedure for issuing export and import licenses for goods crossing the state border under state control" approved by the Government Resolution No. 219 of 2002

3. The license is issued for up to 1 year. The license shall be made in one original and two copies. The license holder shall be responsible for compliance with the requirements and conditions of storage, transportation, protection and quality standards of the ammunition specified in the license

4. Licenses may not be transferred, sold or pledge.

5. The license may be extended once for up to one year, depending on the duration of the export and import contract and, if necessary. The state central administrative body in charge of defense and legal affairs shall review and resolve the application for renewal of the license and change of the type, quantity, price and name of the port of entry specified in the license within 3 days. An application for renewal or amendment of a license shall be submitted during the term of the license.

6. The state central administrative body in charge of defense and legal affairs shall revoke the license in whole or in the following cases: 

  • the license holder has made a request;
  • the legal entity holding the license has been liquidated;
  • submitted false documents to obtain a license;
  • the issued license has been amended;
  • provided false information during customs clearance.

7. The state central administrative body in charge of defense and legal affairs shall notify the license holder and the customs authority of the revocation of the license within 3 days after the decision is made.
