A trade agreement directly with the enterprise of the exporting country or with its official contracted distributor

 The food to be imported must be from an enterprise that has certified the introduction of good practices or the control and Food quality management system

Two thirds of the shelf life of imported food shall be valid

To have a dedicated warehouse and vehicle that meet the requirements of standards and technical regulations, or to have a contract with a legal entity or organization that meets these requirements.

The Applicant submits a request to the Ministry of food, agrilculture and light industry along with all required documents

The Ministry of food, agrilculture and light industry reviews the application

If the application gets approved, Issues the Permit

NOTE

1. It is prohibitted to used internationally used identification marks, unmarked fortifiers, food additives, pure microbial culture assets if the importer is not registered in accordance with Article 16 of the Food Law.

2. It is prohibited to import food from genetically modified organisms that have not been registered in accordance with Aticle 7.2 of the Food Law.

3. Article 16 of the Food Law states that the state central administrative body in charge of food matters shall register the food produced by fortifying preparations, food additives, pure microbial cultural assets, organic and new technologies in the state registration
